Dear P.S. 119 Families and Staff,
The mayor has announced that due to inclement weather, tomorrow, January 26, 2026, NYCPS buildings are closed, and students will pivot to remote learning. Please read below for how students will participate in Remote Learning tomorrow:
To ensure a smooth login experience for students and staff, please have your child login at their assigned time slot using their Google Meet Link found on their Google Classroom. I am also attaching a list of Google Meet Link Codes for families for reference as well. Students can work on asynchronous work until they have to login on their Google Meet link:
Staggered Login Times by Grade - (Students will remain on until the end of the day):
- Pre - K: 9:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
- Kindergarten: 9:15 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
- 1st Grade: 9:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
- 2nd Grade: 8:45 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
- 3rd Grade: 8:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.
- 4th Grade: 8:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
- 5th Grade: 8:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.
I will also share an updated list of Google Classroom Codes later today for your child's teacher for reference.
These staggered login times above will help minimize technical issues, allow teachers to provide more focused attention, and ensure that each student has the best possible experience with their virtual lessons. Students will login at these times, and remain on for the regular school day tomorrow. Students will login on their devices using their DOE username and password.
What Your Child Needs for Remote Learning:
Please make sure that your child has:
- A working device (school-issued or personal) and charger
- Access to Google Classroom
- Their DOE username and password (Students login through TEACH HUB)
- Their schedule will be posted by their teacher for the remote day on Google Classroom
How to Log In on a Remote Day
- Your child should go to their Google Classroom.
- Click on the Google Meet link posted at the top of the classroom page at their assigned login time (see above for time per grade)
- Follow their regular class schedule for the day. They will have access to their teacher throughout the day. Their lunch period will be as regularly scheduled.
