The 3-K and Pre-K applications for fall 2026 are now open! If you live in New York City and your child was born in 2022 (for pre-k) or 2023 (for 3-k), you can apply any time through February 27, 2026.
Important: Admissions are not first come, first served. All applications submitted by the deadline are considered equally.
How to Apply:
1. Online at MySchools.nyc - Recommended!
- Already have an account? Use the same one. If you don't see your child on the dashboard, add them by selecting "Add a Child".
- New to MySchools? Create an account to explore programs, apply, and get your child's offer later this spring. Watch our video tutorials to learn how to create your MySchools account and how to apply.
2. By phone: Call 718-935-2009, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
3. Contact a Family Welcome Center.
Translation and interpretation services are available for all options.
Tips for Your Application:
- You can apply to all types of programs: Dual Language, School Day, Extended Day and Year (eligibility applies), and City Transitional.
- List as many programs as you like in true preference order - your child's priority does not change based on ranking.
- Explore schools by attending open houses or tours. Check the MySchools Events Calendar or contact schools directly.
